From Edible Memphis magazine:

"Memphis may be known for pork barbecue, but with so many talented chefs and cooks, it’s also home to spectacular vegetarian and vegan food. So whether you are eating healthier or entertaining veggie-loving visitors, there are plenty of options besides a boring salad. Menus and seasons change so be sure to peruse the menu carefully for the latest offerings."

thanks for the link...but the front page! i don't think i could afford to eat at Chex Philippe again...Actually most of thos places are pretty pricey (well not iris, i got a friend in the kitchen and as long as i don't mind eating in the alley i can afford it!) and in typical memphis style, you have the super high end places, go a street over, and ta-da! a "vegan gourmet" that is inside a 7/11. i have eaten at sean's many times, but they must have changed things..i thought it was smoothies and mediteraian food.
and some of them are kinda stretching to call themselves veggie friendly places, bro. junipers can be tough for vegan's....and boscos squared has many, many, many times served me things i requested without the meat, with the meat....plus i had a friend who worked in their kitchen for a while and she said don't eat there if you are trying to keep kosher or are one of the no meaters who doesn't want meat touching your veggies (actually, after she worked there, i quit eating there from the horror stories she'd tell me). all in all, it is a good starting point, but this list is really too full of high end places for my blood...and the central bbq listing on the back needs to go. offering ONE thing does not make you a non-meater friendly place.

still, excellent resource. i still haven't been out to the new mushroom place. =(
