Hey guys, Im going on a trip down to Texas soon with stops in Memphis, just wondering where the best cross street or location would be to get a nice photo of the downtown skyline? Thanks.

I would go to the Mud Island River Park (125 N. Front St). Take the monorail thingie over to where the ampitheatre is. There's a great view of the city from there.

Cross the New Bridge get off at the 1st exit (Mound City) track back east untill you hit the Miss.River bank. That will give you the best shot IMO

Default memphis skyline pictures

although this is a bit different from your immediate questions, check out the good urban photos by bill cobb. even though you don't get the entire city---either w/ pyramid and mud island or w/out those w/ the horizon tower---on the south side of the city, unfortunately, memphis seems to have problems getting a view of the city with all of downtown and the medical district, st. jude, and the rivermark and horizon towers, the bluffs, and mud island. go figure.

i believe your best pictures are going to be mid bridge on the hernando desoto bridge. of course, you could get lucky and be in a traffic jam and probably get some good pictures.
