What a crock of poop. What in the world were these idiots thinking coming into are city limits to serve a warrant

This is one incident I hope the victims sue the pants off the city of Bartlett and the cop is charged with MURDER

From what I gather, the MPD is a bit pissed, as the BPD did not inform them of what there plan was to be

I think you meant "our"

From what I've read the Bartlett police DID let Memphis know before they served the warrant. I also read that the guy in the house was walking towards the cop with a gun. What would you have done?

I do admit something sounds off about the story, however.

Well, if I was in bed asleep and was awoken to here my door being kicked in I would have been rounding the corner with Shotgun in hand

And no, BPD did not inform MPD untill they had already killed dude.

Look, I wish they would rid the whole bunch of drug dealers in this town, but I have still yet to here what they were there for in the 1st place not to mention,I haven't heard anything about them finding drugs during there invasion

Oh yea, thanks for the grammar lesson. Hang around I misspell stuff all the time

Ok, let's make this plain and simple.

A guy in Memphis has a warrant for his arrest from Bartlett. The Bartlett police tell the Memphis police that they going to come here and arrest the guy. The Memphis police say ok. The Bartlett police identify themselves at the guy's doorstep letting him know he is under arrest. The guy points a gun at the Bartlett police, he is shot and he dies. Any Memphis police officer would have done the same thing. Just don't point a gun at a police officer. Not very smart. You will be killed. If some people hate the police so much, let's see how they do without them.

Every report I've read said the Bartlett police informed the Memphis police they were serving the warrant 6 minutes before they shot the man.

Well, not quite. 6 minutes after BPD informed MPD of there planned actions they were calling for an ambulance and crowd control. So, that means they must have informed MPD of there plans while they were sitting in dudes driveway

Exactly.

I would think you would have to request at least a MPD squad car to assist with the warrant, and give at least 4 hours notice. I also heard the cops were in plain clothes, so it is not like they had on standard BPD uniforms. This whole story is fishy. Let the story be the other way around with MPD serving a warrant in Bartlett with little to no notice and killing someone.

Please, tell me where I can sign up. I would love a chance to have a society free of hired armed, bigoted thugs paid to protect us from other armed thugs. Those of us who believe in personal accountablity and swift shot gun justice would be much happier with out the racist, under educated, power tripping jerks we are supposed to believe 'serve and protect' us.
