We are looking for homes in Collierville..at this point I can say that our fun phase in home hunting is over. While looking for homes, how could have we escaped the dilemma of north side versus south side..but finally we have entangled our selves in the "far east Collierville" debate. The home which is close to what we are looking is in the far east side of the Collierville (Steeple). I am not thinking about the commute time but definitely am worried about the re-sale..bility in that area. I have read some threads about this topic but does anyone have any specific insight about the community on grand seeple rd? any possible disadvantages or advantages? What schools would be associated with this area?

I don't know much about that area, but you find your schools at the link below. It looks like Tara Oaks elementary, Collierville Middle and Collierville High. All great schools.

The Grand Steeple area is pretty quiet. If you are going to Memphis for work, you can go East from Grand Steeple about 1/4 mile and hit Hwy 385 and head to Memphis, that way you would avoid alot of traffic going through town. Any of the schools in Collierville will be a good choice. The streets in that area (Grand Steeple, Fletcher, Lancelot, Bradford Trail, etc) generally have low traffic since they aren't "through streets". I don't know anything about the resale value of homes in the area, but I would think they hold their value being in Collierville. Look at the Shelby County Assessor's website at the sales data and compare houses in the area.

Welcome to the Shelby County Assessor of Property

I don't know what website you are using to find houses, but you might also use Zillow and Trulia to see if you missed some. When I was shopping for houses, these websites helped me out alot in narrowing my search, and there are houses not listed on other sites.
