What type of depression? Clinical or reactive? There is a huge difference.

Need more information about your particular situation....and also, have you seen a physician and/or physiciatrist? Or are you self-diagnosing your condition?

Trials for benefits of depression have been inconclusive - according to the Mayo clinic.

If you take it and it helps - go for it... talk to your doctor first though.

Please be careful when it comes to taking things for depression and anxiety. I've trusted in doctors who prescribe to the idea that you can pop pills to cure these things and have and am paying dearly. Always attempt to fix diet, exercise, other stuff before you go down that route.

I've never been formally diagnosed but I have been seen in ER for anxiety & given Ativan (which I don't like). I will see a Psych. Nurse Pract. in a wk to get an eval done. I've seen my PCP but she only refers to Psych.

I have had this for yrs but lately I am more anxiety-ridden, & it turns to hypochondria via this health worry from the anxiety. Big fish eats little fish & it goes round & round like that emotionally for me. I think if I stop feelings of "I'm stuck w/ this fear/s", that I'll then reduce anxiety, & the OCD associated w/ it, that tries to mitigate the worry/anxiety.

Very complex I know but I'm trying to elucidate this problem I have best I can. It is simply a cascade back & forth of both emotions, I think.
