i do randomly get a really bad taste in my mouth that will last for a day, but not sure if that is from the Lex or not. im honestly a little freaked about about trying to get off of it again. cutting from 20mg to 5 is somewhat doable, but having to deal with the migraines and mood swings of withdrawals is terrifying. and i have a 4wk old baby now too...

You could just stay on 5 for awhile. You will know when you are ready to come off of it!

I had a bit of nausea and the funny taste for the first two weeks or so. Sometimes I get a funny taste now, but just realized from this thread that it might be the Lexipro. (10 mg)

I started taking it for migraines and have never regretted it. My migraines are much improved and moods are better.

And it is a drug that you have to wean off of.

I've been on Lexapro for 2-Months. I take it 3X per day. I can't honestly say it has caused a change in me. It's prescribed for me for Depression. I don't think it's working. The MD also added Abilify to the regiment. I don't see a difference at all.
I may need a new regiment of medications. All I feel is horribly tired and fatigued.

I to 10mg 1x per day for 8 months and had absolutely no side effect from stopping it. On thing when on it I could not drink very much at all without having black outs. The thing was at the time I thought I was fine, it was only the next morning the previous night's events were just gone. That & the decrease in sex drive were the only problems I had. Of course the drinking problem could have been avoided by refraining from drinking entirely.
