Electro-Shock Therapy? Dark ages?

Used to know a guy with bi-polar who had over 30 shock treatments...none helped his condition. I have to wonder if that many could mess up one's brain.

It is. Most psychiatrists consider ECT to be an excellent alternative to suicide.

This is a last resort procedure. For most people, who need this treatment the benefits outweigh the costs.
