So I've noticed in the past three or four months, I'll randomly wake up from sleep, and randomly sleepwalk. The thing is, I am half way awake when I do this. For example, I had a dream my parents and family were coming to visit me, and I woke up thinking I heard them in my living room (which I can see from my bedroom). I laid in bed for a moment to see if they were really there, then something happens causing me to think, "Oh my goodness, they are in my living room and I am not even dressed!" I ended up walking and standing in my closet for a good 45 seconds before I finally come to and realize I am being an idiot.

Like I said, this has been happening like once every other week or so (not always the closet). Is this something I should be worried about???

Are you taking ambien? This is a notable side effect. People have driven to work in the middle of the night technically asleep, and not remembered it at all. Some other sleep aides have had this problem.

Ambien will cause this. I woke up one night and got up and did some painting in the bathroom and another night I got up and made some jello. Another time I did some ironing. I remember thinking (I have to be quite so my husband wont wake up). Thats when I talked to my Dr. and she told me not to take my ambien for a while. I did and it hasn't happened since. My husband still doesn't know about it.
Talk to you Dr. because something serious could happen.

Just curious if you figured anything out about this issue? I have the same thing going on and I do not take any medications or sleeping pills.
