I put Lexapro,because I use it...lol AND it works great. Ive tried Paxil and couldnt stand the darn brain zaps even while ON the drug.

Effexor isn't on your list but I've been on the extended relief ones for almost 10 years. Saved my life. Doc says I'll probably need to stay on them the rest of my life too, which is fine by me because I don't want the withdrawals.

ive had depression since 1998 , only ever took meds for around three months in early 1999 , was half thinking of going back on them but then i ask myself , how can a pill change traumatic past events ?

It cant change past events,but it can help with how you view them. Not so traumatic..

It's amazing how these medications can still be effective after long term use. I have a cousin whose been on Paxil for nearly twenty years.
