Hi I just had a question to see if anyone could answer this. Most the time in life when something traumatic happens like a world disaster or something i just dont seem to care much about it or when something in my life happens i just brush it off and dont really care about it. I get happy only over certain things but i rarely get excited about the my friends do. I never seem to be serious i just joke around 95% of the time. If anyone could answer this would be helpful thanks No i dont think about killing myself or any of that bs. I feel like i need something to get excited about.

jmoney35,

It seems like your life is centered around yourself. Therefore when things happen around you caused by other people you don't get excited or feel much. The best way to have a breakthrough in your life is to help someone else. Helping other people gets our mind off ourselves and therefore we become happier.

Also, the joking around 95% of the time is what I call the "clown mode". I know someone right now that does that exact thing. He is always trying to make people laugh but he himself is not a very happy person inside. Making people laugh is not a bad thing but when you do it as much as you are it becomes self serving. In other words you are doing it to get "strokes" for yourself not to help others feel good by laughing.

Look for opportunities wherever you are to help people. Volunteer work is a great thing for you. Volunteer to help. There are opportunities all around.

Turn your energy toward helping others and your life will turn around. You will be much happier yourself and so will the people you help!
