[I'm torn as to where else to post this!]

CBNNews.com, Wednesday, February 12, 2014

A new study suggests that attending church cuts down on crime.

Researchers at Manchester University discovered that people who attend church on a regular basis are less likely to commit crimes.

Okay, so it's in Great Britain. But why doesn't it correlate with the USA? Anyhow, atheists and leftists will rant and rave that it's flawed and unreliable. But, check out the short piece @ Study: Churchgoers Less Likely to Commit Crime - World - CBN News - Christian News 24-7 - CBN.com

Well, in the UK the average age of a churchgoer is 61...not a high level of criminals in that group:

Average age of churchgoers now 61, Church of England report finds - Telegraph

In the US the median age of worshipers increased from 50 to 54 years of age:

Why do you think US churchgoers are out robbing little old ladies? (That is, their own fellow worshippers? LOL)

So this is another attempt to push religion/God as good by the profession, and then cite committing crime as a pathology. OK, so if I travel at 90mph in a 70mph speed limit, eek...section me! lol.. I don't mean to spam this forum with similar critiques, but then I'm just expressing an opinion.

I posted this as a supposition - not a critique of those who don't go to church.

I think a lot of those who commit crimes do so because of the social circle they move in. Run with gang bangers and you're likely to do what they do. Run with church goers, you're like to act like they do.

No more. No less.

I think living a spiritual life has substantial benefits in this life, even if one's beliefs are based, wholly or in part, on the supernatural world. But I don't know about going to church.

People with dentures are less likely to commit crimes, too. As are blind people, Danes, and CEOs (commit crimes of which they're convicted, at least).

Most born again Christians are ex cons, ex druggies or ex something. When they find god they are forgiven of their evil doings....until....next time. Hence while born again and embracing god, they don't commit crimes, after that phase wears off, the cycle starts yet again.
