Every day that I nap, I awake & feel weird/anxious after. It lasts awhile too, & somedays til I go back sleep at night. Anyone get this?

Yes. I often awaken from a nap in a state of panic. Don't know why. Sometimes my mood is also ruined for the rest of the day.

When you fall asleep feeling anxious or worried, it often happens that you awake feeling as bad, or worse, than before you were asleep. I get that too. Strangely, after a full nights sleep, I don't have this problem, only with naps.

No, my mood can change completely. I used to often fall asleep on the train on the way home, but if I was in a good mood, I would try to stay awake because I knew when I woke up I would be depressed or anxious and didn't want to lose the good mood.

If I were depressed and anxious, I would want to fall asleep in the hopes that the waking mood would be better.

Something changes in the brain during sleep.

Me too, especially if I wake up too late and it's darker than it was when I fell to sleep, it's like it confuses me and I can't figure out what day it is.

Yes, I have this a great deal. It's a clammy, "scared" feeling. I think it's fairly normal among those who nap during the day, especially, but I don't know the neurological reasons for it. I also often am flushed and run a low fever for a few hours. It's unsettling.

This I used to experience. It would throw me completely off balance. It's like it was supposed to be getting lighter but is actually getting darker or is already dark. That problem went away eventually.

I've had this happen. It's a bad feeling & yes, it only happened when I woke up & it was darker than when I fell asleep.

Good thing that I rarely have time for a nap. LOL

LOL. I can relate. I LOVE taking a nap, providing I don't wake up in a bad mood, on days that I am off. On normal workdays, I don't get any naps.
