Goldenpants, I cut and pasted this! Jealous?

Well, a picture on the wall askew, that is a huge problem for me, still. I don't even think I could visit a stranger's house and not fix a crooked painting.

During my painting phase (which lasted for years and years), I was preoccupied with feelings that my walls were not perfectly smooth, or that there were any imperfections in the paint, or maybe an imperfection in the wall that I had failed to properly patch/paint. How could I enjoy my kitchen, or my kitchen nook, or my family room, or my living room, or my study, or ... (warning, this will go on for a long time). My new house was professionally painted, except for the *foyer*. My quality of life has improved.

This explains the source of my issues, well the one I am going to blame my OCD on, I live in a very old house with the original horsehair plaster walls in some rooms. They are uneven especially in winter when the house shrinks due to the heater. I CAN'T STAND the bumps!!!

Well, let me just tell you that those of us with true paint OCD, also have paint stirring OCD, so that doesn't happen to us!

Oh, I have a huge problem not straightening a picture or something similar in another person's house. I have been known to do it in a store as well.

I can't stand things stuck in paint either.

When I visit a persons house and see that they have mixed their glassware, they slip in my estimation. Its against god and all thats natural in the world.

I don't know how rain can be right. But I know it can't be wrong. And it can never ever be left.

Did you see the Dateline NBC where they used the special light to detect all of the weird stuff we paint into our walls? I've never quite been the same since I saw that. [eye twitches]

I actually use tweezers or electrolysis if it grows back.
