There are some terrific sales before Christmas, too! I once picked up a couple of drastically reduced deli platters just before a market closed on Christmas eve.

I listen to some holiday music on the day. I try to eat something, do something, go somewhere which makes me feel better. Really, a holiday is just like most other days.

I'm taking my friend Tom to see his ex-wife in a nursing home on Christmas Day. Her own son that lived with her and took care of her disowned her and put her in this nursing home. He will not even come visit her now.
