Doxylamine succinate works for me. I buy the Costco brand. Try 1/2 a tablet to start, and don't use it every night.

You will probably be referred to a sleep specialist. S/he will probably fit you with a CPAP mask/machine. It may or may not work for you. After struggling with it for a year I gave up.

Most likely you are staring 'way too long at the computer screen. It has been proven that too much blue light emanating from all of those electronic gadgets we use interfere with sleep.

I would give this free download a shot https://justgetflux.com/

It actually worked for me on my desktop but now that I use my Chromebook more I find my sleep problems are back. Chromebook has a similar app but it doesn't work as well as f.lux.

You can also try using blue-blocking glasses or goggles and see if that helps. It would be a cheaper alternative than CPAP. Amazon has a bunch:

Good luck! I'll be eager to hear how you make out!
I will look into this. Thanks.

This is the second time where my sleep issues led to a job termination.
First time around was due to falling asleep behind the wheel and totaling the semi truck I was driving.

This recent episode I took a short nap while loading a dairy, got caught, and was fired for sleeping on the job.
Only remedy I have for this is by taking a paycut and just going with whatever, eight-hour job I could find.

These 12+ hour shifts have been wreaking havoc on my body and unless I jump out of it, nothing's going to change.
