And if so, what are the reasons?

Infatuation? Obsession?

Desire for power and control?

What would be the goal of the stalking? Just to keep tabs? To spy and watch what the person is doing? Curiosity? Jealousy/possessiveness?

I imagine it would be different depending on which Cluster B disorder, but there may also be some similarities.

Thank you in advance! I look forward to your thoughts on it, and if you have any personal experiences.

I am going to say yes. Anyone with a personality disorder is likely to have other tendencies, like being a stalker.

I don't know about "clusters"...though I think that stalking someone is a sign of serious insecurities, and a need to control someone else's life.
As far as I'm concerned the only "goal" to stalking is to make someone else miserable and afraid. It's a SICK, SICK way of control....the power comes from making someone afraid.
Usually someone who is very possessive...very delusional...very jealous....very angry....super insecure about themselves (but don't know it)...

Sounds like you got it figured pretty well OP

There are different kinds of stalkers. Some are people whose social skills are poor. They're clueless that what they are doing is stalking. To them they are pursuing a love interest.

Others are delusional and believe the person they are stalking and they are already in some kind of romantic relationship.

The stalking done by a former partner may be done from anger at being rejected and a desire for revenge.

The most dangerous and rare type of stalking has a sociopathic flavor. It is impersonal, calculating and designed to meet an unhealthy need in the stalker.

Not everyone who stalks has a character disorder or mental illness.

Did you know that stalker types are prone to suicide?

Sounds more like Cluster A. Probably a lot of reasons, anger and rejection being a couple of them.

They are personality disorders. Cluster b includes narcissists and sociopaths. Cluster a includes paranoid and isolated people.

Hi soUlwounD

Well it's been a year now that this man keeps contacting me, almost every day. He knows everything about me and so has a lot of power over me. He claims to be a sociopath and he has rape fantasies and he hates women.

I act distant but the more I pull back from him the more he chases me. He prides himself on being a psychopath with no empathy or guilt.

As for my self process I'm really not doing well these days. I feel very isolated and alone and it seems I can't trust anyone.

Sounds like you have classic symptoms of a cluster A personality disorder. get psychiatric help for that and call the cops on your perceived cluster b antagonist..
