Ok, w/out going into a huge explain of this let me say, I never felt as bad growing up as do now.

I feel quality of life has dropped into my 50s. I know I need talk to a doc more re this but will get blood work to see if anemia, low testosterone, etc are causes? But anyone else have difficulty ruling out endogenous vs exogenous stress/depression & how to rule out one over the other?

I have been in the stages of planning a move for quite sometime now, since moving here over a decade ago & not really liking it ever even since then, let alone now. Long long story.

Sometimes I think I don't have control over anything, let alone my own life circumstances. A very hard somewhat traumatic summer really put the icing on the cake so to speak.

TY in advance as just felt a need to say this to see if others here feel this way, or if this is an iso feeling to me & foreign to most other folks here.

Er, not sure I understand your question, but just in case I'm close, an opinion.

You can't really "rule out" any of it. All those possibilities can influence the others. Sure, it is easy enough to get some organic data, so do it. It won't answer everything. Sorry to inform you but there isn't one simple answer to life. It's cumulative, both physically and emotionally. You teach yourself how to react to events...and it becomes a habit. If you teach yourself that everything's just getting worse, it probably will be. The same circumstance could happen to 10 people and I bet there will be 10 reactions/outcomes.

You keep mentioning you need to talk to someone. Do it. They can help you recognize and even unlearn habitual thinking.

There are no neatly packaged answers. Instead, it is a pile of wrapping paper with a bunch of knotted strings attached.

Hmm, guess that little analogy proves that I must be preoccupied about relatives' Christmas gifts!
