I don't know about all of you but I also have anxiety and depression so the lonliness makes this all worse. I try to keep entertained but sometimes it's not enough.
This pandemic is extra tough for those of us with depression and anxiety. I have gone through waves of doing ok, then dipping into periods of sadness or intense anxiety. Before it started in March I had tapered off my anxiety medicine, but I’m back on it. It’s discouraging.
I’m not that social anyway but no interaction is another level. It’s a struggle.
I don't suffer from anxiety or depression myself, but I'm empathetic to those who are during this time. At least we're ALL in the same boat & not just one state or country, but the ENTIRE WORLD. All we can do is hang in there & do our best.
I never was the social type anyway & could be just as happy at home, so it's fine. The only difference is, I'm not going to the places I like because they're closed (malls, museums, amusement parks, movies). I always liked grocery shopping so at least I still get to do that. I've always loved TV since I was a child, so I'm still enjoying that! And being on the computer helps a lot too.
It gets a little tiring, but we can't do anything about it.
I wish everyone out there well & to stay in a positive mindset!
I’m an introvert but also have struggled in this Covid era. It’s rough. I feel like part of the struggle is how disconnected people have become even through simple things like seeing strangers at the grocery store. I’m also a sensitive person and do pick up on other people’s feelings and emotions and there is a lot fo anger and a sadness in the air. I also see my kids struggling with this and that just adds to it all.

I've been in a terrible low slump. I get sad and start crying for no reason at times. Sometimes in the middle of work. It's a pain. I'm on 2 meds for the anxiety. Loss of appetite. Sleeping more. Don't much care about anything. I'm not a socialite either. But not seeing anyone...even family is starting to get to me.

Yup. That's all we can do is just hang in there. My anxiety isn't as high as it was in the beginning. Oh Lord. I was a mess when this first started.
Also having to look at masks all day with no faces feels like something from a horror movie. It's a daily reminder of the danger we're in and why we're so alone.
Are any of you experiencing times where you feel more irritable?

I think this video is helpful. It doesn't deny the loneliness or any other unwanted feelings, but encourages leaning into it and coming to terms with it:
