Both times when I got sick from the side effects, my depression and anxiety by ten fold and lasted a couple extra weeks. I don't know if it was from the vaccines or what but those were a couple of dark times mentally speaking. Became almost suicidal feeling and had a black cloud hanging over me. Second time was more intense than the first time. I got the Moderna shots.
Can't say that I have. If anything, I felt a sense of relief that now I was going to have some protection and I was doing the right thing by protecting not only myself but my community. I did, however, have my usual reaction to vaccines, which is a lousy night's sleep and some weird dreams. I get that with flu shots and I had it with the Shingrix series, so I usually try to schedule my vaccinations on Fridays so I don't have to slog through work like a zombie the next day for not having slept well.
However, this is not to dismiss your experience. It could be that your immune system wasn't all that great when you got the shots and your body's reaction took a toll on your emotions. Or, it could be part of the inflammation that occurs with vaccinations. Most vaccines promote some kind of inflammatory response. That's why a lot of people get sore, have some swelling, get a little feverish and so on. That is not a bad thing because it means the vaccine is working: It is getting your immune system fired up and ready to fight should you be exposed to the virus. However, I've read a few papers linking inflammation with depression, so maybe that's what happened with you.
My husband expressed feeling "very dark" after his second Moderna shot.
But, it passed in a day or two.
When I mentioned this to one of our sons who is professionally involved with Covid/vaccine issues he said he had heard of that being a side effect for some people.
Didn't notice a thing and I am prone to depression. Both shots were emotional nothing burgers. Felt the common side effects of muscle aches and fatigue but that only lasted a day or so.

How are you doing now?
Wow that makes sense. Am feeling much better, glad I got the shots. But will keep myself warned for if it happens again if I were to get booster shot(s?) down the road.
If you are prone to depression like I am you have to be very careful about certain medicines but I got my second Covid vaccine a week ago today and it didn't make me depressed.
No but I got very depressed after realizing that I was going to have to distance and wear a mask again because so many people decided to not get them. I’m on a drug that causes me to be immunosuppressed so I’m going almost nowhere these days. Again.

That's not an uncommon reaction reported. It involves the impact of an atypical immune provocation in the brain. This is why suicide deaths after vaccination absolutely must be reported to VAERS.
It has been noted after other immunizations as well. It's not specific to the covid vaccine; it's specific to immune responses to an agent that bypasses the immune cells in the mucous membranes & skin, being delivered into the subcutaneous tissues with rapid motility into the blood & then past the blood brain barrier.
It's really no wonder mental health disorders are so prevalent in the United States.
I have heard from day 1 that these MRNA shots change one's DNA.
