OP you sound pretty intriguing to me...maybe you should look into MENSA, your IQ might qualify you. Lots of interesting discourse to be had and you might find you are more mentally complex than you believe yourself to be
Most people spend 50 hours a week doing something they hate for a company they dislike, the result of which is (largely) immoral work. Most corporate conglomerates in America do more harm than good using any reasonable measure, and I suspect most wouldn't even attempt to argue that point.
To clarify: a literal majority of the waking hours is spent working for the vast majority of Americans, acting as someone else's bee-otch for a cause they are so-so about, at best. For the clincher, we live in the most advanced society(s) in human history, enjoying the spoils of incredible technology, yet so many are soooooo miserable that they go to a doctor to get happy pills.
If you want to be understood initially, then hang out/befriend/socialize with those who think and react as you do. BUT at the same time, in order to continue to learn, you have to expose yourself to new ideas or new ways of thinking, while still holding true to your own perceived set of morals and values. There is nothing wrong with asking someone to clarify what they may say or do or believe, as long as it is done in a respectful way, not belittling. Most people are willing to explain themselves if given the right opportunity.Stepping out of a comfort zone is just the beginning of expanding one's horizons.
