Hi,

My name is andy and i am planning on quiting smoking tomorrow, i know i am from the UK, but hopefully you guys wont mind me doing this on here, as i cant find anything similar for the uk.

Ive been smoking for 6years, i dont know why i started but i wish i never had, recently ive been getting really bad coughs and the whole smoking thing is getting me down. I have tried before and lasted a mighty 3 days, i am planning on going cold turkey, ive tried herbal cigs in the past, the gum, and neither worked, so wish me luck and i welcome anyone reading this. (or till me to Mod cutUK if u want)

Good luck Andy. I have tried many times and it never sticks. Maybe you should look into e-cigs. I am considering it.

Default quit smoking

Yeah good luck.. You can definitely quit smoking. Above all if you feel that it is difficult to quit smoking then you can try with e-cigars.

Hey Mod, that word is not offensive. The term faggot means a bundle of sticks meant to be burned, and in the UK they use the diminutive fag for cigarette. Why must we kill the Englis language because a select few butcher it into offensive slang?

I bought the Allen Carr book, and I did quit for a whole three days. I didn't plan very well for the three airplane rides that week I decided to quit. I had three packs of gum and still after a very rocking landing on my third jet, I had to bum just one.

And I hated myself for it.

Allen was from the UK, and smoked was it 60 or 100 cigarettes a day? I recommend that book to you. It will help a lot.

Good luck to you Andy. Good luck to us all in this battle.
