Gracias de antemano!
just take a cab from airport to downtown, midnight is not to late for a city like monterrey.

I am in MOnterrey!!!!!

The drugwar is not media sensationalism at all. It is for real.

Then, there are no shootouts going on constantly everywhere in the city all the time. There are shootouts, quite a number of them, everyday. That you happen to get caught in the middle of one...well, bad luck...but does happen.

Happening in the Macroplaza? no, not really...a girl was killed and several injured there on the shopping street that leads to the macroplaza some months ago, though. Barrio Antiguo, I don't know who still goes there...My nephews used to go to the Casino Monterrey disco(behind lies the barrio Ant) but not anymore, those living in San Pedro don't want to risk it driving over there.

I would say you better get a hotel in San Pedro GG and go to the clubs there, way safer. El Clasico is really nice, but not the same it used to be since many parents don't let their daughters go but to private parties or to the disco that Campestre Golf club opened.

BUses to Monterrey, are ok most of the time. They had been robbed too but with less frequency. Arriving at the airport late at night, I wouldn't do it, nor leaving early either, but, odds are you will be ok.

Follow the hashtag #mtyfollow on twitter, there, people post any crimminal activity they happen to witness and also follow telediariomty for the latest local news
