Would like to hear views on buying a 2nd home there from those who currently or recently owned there.

Pluses and Minuses.

Best neighborhoods for single family homes up to 700K USD.

How's the food scene?

How's the fishing from shore?

Gracias in advance.

It is some years since we went there. They were building some condos on the east end of the beach. For part time living a condo is significantly easier than a single house.
We took a group there from our RV club. The restaurants were fine. There was an open air restaurant on the beach that made fried ice cream. That was a treat for the 20 people in our group.

Never got into fishing.

Huh? You could probably buy an entire neighborhood for that sum. I thought Americans were buying down there because it was "cheaper", not to gentrify areas and displace local residents.

Bad news. Maybe that's why nobody else chimed in.
