Hi - I'm wondering where one would start if they were considering moving to Mexico. Are there any people who have made the move who could provide some insight?
I'm also wondering where the best areas for retired Americans would be. I'm looking for a low cost of living, lowish crime, good medical facilities, good weather, near water is prefered ...
If you go to Amazon and type in "mexico retire" you'll see there are lots of books on the subject. If you're lucky, your local library may carry some of them.
I lived in Mexico for 5 years. Feel free to PM me with any questions. Do you have any ideas as to what region? I've lived in both East and West, and my husband is from Mexico City. Will you rent or buy? Do you speak Spanish? Do you like mountain or beach?
