PSD leadership supports proposal of marijuana decriminalization
They celebrate that the coordinator of the PRD in San Lázaro (Mexican capitol), Javier González Garza, has stated, that the debate of the pertinence of regulating the market and consumption of some soft drugs has been opened.
The national leadership of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) has expressed their total support to representative Marina Arvizu's iniciative, to put under congress' consideration the debate of legalizing marijuana consumption in Mexico.
Arvizu Rivas belongs to the political group of the ex presidential candidate Patricia Mercado, who renounced last year to this institute for considering that the party had lost it's "direction" and "ideology".
The federal representative and coordinator of the PSD in the house of commons, together with a group of sympathizers decided to stay among the ranks of the PSD as a critical voice within the party.
The PSD celebrated also that the coordinator of the PRD in San Lázaro (Mexican capitol), Javier González Garza, has stated, that the debate of the pertinence of regulating the market and consumption of some soft drugs has been opened.
"In the PSD we believe that far from the false declarations that the right wing makes on this issue, the discussion of regularization of the drug market, is of critical importance to Mexican society, given the outlook of the current drug war the mexican government is waging against drug cartels, with it's wrong strategy where thousands of Mexicans have died", she stated in a communique.
