We know we live in a country where the Judicial system needs improvement, the federalism is a white elephant that needs to be reformed and we face an endemic problem of corruption.
Yet there have been advances at least in the capture of gangs of organized crime by the federal government, like those who kidnapped and murered the son of Marti and the son of Nelson vargas.
They were fortunate, because they are millionaires and part of the elite in Mexico. So the police took months to resolve these cases and apprehend the criminals.

TF, I cant think of any other president in Mexico that has actually declared war against narcos and corruption within the govenment. As someone who has been in and out constantly, I have seen the slow progress but I have also seen the violence and corruption in waves. I thank God we have moved away from the corruption of the seven decades of PRIllistas.
Recently, I remember reading about a whole department within the government of Michoacan. I think it was like 50 employees that were members or in conection with narcos. That is great progress and more needs to be done.
However, the complaints are numerous and "sobre todo" kidnappings. Just look at our rate for kidnappings compared to the rest of the world.
El inombrable, I agree that it is mostly the elite that get government help. I think it works the same in every country. As an elite, I would think that they get targetted even more than a common Mexican citizen just alone on the cash. Think about the number of famous artists that have been targetted, or their families.
I think that we are in a time where Mexicans are just plain fed up with the corruption and the violence but not all have the courage to speak of it. Many are afraid to publicly speakout.
