Many years ago, two friends had lasik surgery from Dr. Chayet in Tijuana. He was an excellent doctor, and was very highly experienced and regarded.

I was evaluated for lasik by Dr Chayet in 2019 and told that I was not a good candidate (because of my lens shape). I was disappointed at first, but also impressed. Any Dr that turns away a procedure where they will earn several thousand dollars is trustworthy in my opinion. The temptation for a bad doctor would be to do the procedure even if the patient wasn't a good candidate. All my due diligence prior to visiting the Dr indicated he was competent and reputable.

Was it really several thousand dollars? You can get Lasik for close to that amount in the US, I would think they would have to be much cheaper to attract customers.
