I agree. Both have thousands of years of history, have been inhabited by many different cultures, have cuisines that are easily amongst the top 10 in the world, and have histories full of amazing events. I would give Spain the prize for artistic patrimony (books, art, etc), and I think that Spain is probably amongst the top 5 countries in the world in that area. But the geography of Mexico is fascinating and diverse, from deserts to volcanoes to plains to jungles. Too tough to call.
