I should not be giving you this since I think the test I took at this location was an absolute joke. Driving is one of the most dangerous things most people do in their life. I think for the majority of people out there it is the most dangerous thing they do and this test was WAY TOO EASY. And there are so many bad drivers out there and telling you an easy place to take the test seems like it would just add another. Only someone who does not know how to drive would ask this but here is my answer anyway:
Drivers License Division‎- more info »
8001 Pembroke Road, Pembroke Pines, FL‎ Absolute joke of a test. If you fail this you deserve to never have your license.

One rule that the DMV never teaches you. Only use the left lane on the highway to pass! Dont cruise in it please.

Good luck. I am sure you will pass.

Just took my 16 yr old there this week to take his drivers test and you are right, it is a joke.
They don't even take the testers on a major road. The whole test is conducted on a little "test track" in the parking lot. I was speaking to a father of another teen taking her test and he said it was the same one he took back in the 80's. Not one questions was asked of my son. They tested him on 4 or 5 items; 3 point turn, driving backwards for 50 feet, parking, etc. The examiners were more concerned if his brake lights worked or not. I think this is the norm in So. FL. I heard Lauderhill is the same way. I took mine in Tampa and remember going on major roads. Hard to remember that far back though!
My son will be doing a lot more "test driving" with me before I cut him loose on the roads.
One bit of advice. Make an appointment for your test. Do not just show up. We had an appt. and were there for over 2 hours. The actual test was 10 minutes long. And make sure you have all documents that are needed. Don't stress, you'll do fine.

Getting a driver license should be as hard as taking an exam for Tokyo University.

Thanks for the answers guys! I'm 16 and I've had lots of driving practice so I'm not really worried about another bad driver that is added to the streets of Miami. I've just heard that some of the examiners can be really unnecessarily picky sometimes, so I was just wondering which DMV would be the smoothest place for me to get my license. Thanks again, I'll definitely look into the Pembroke Pines DMV. If anyone else has another suggestion, I would love to hear it. Especially if there is one in the Dade area, because that's where I live.

Take it where I said! I am telling you if you a somewhat bad driver you will pass the test. You drive straight for 20 seconds. You do an emergency stop, you drive backwards 50feet park the car in a big parking space, drive, make a three point turn then park the car back at the parking lot. It is an absolute joke!

People need to be taken out on major roads and highways. I would reccomend emergency situations also.
Good luck on the test and drive safe the first year is when you maket he most mistakes.

this is very true - and don't even make the slightest mistake over there - they'll definitely let you know about it, damn German drivers (lived there over 20 yrs and learned to drive there).

When I took my test many years ago, I made so many mistakes I didn't deserve to pass but I still did. The man that gave me the test was so pissed, he told me to get out of the car and didn't bother to tell I has passed. I remember he had his hands in his head and screamed throughout the test. I was terrible. I think most people learn on the road, I don't see any need to make the test harder. Most people know how to drive in Miami, they just have bad habits. They have them because they can get away with them.
