Miami is what it is------it is uniquely diverse city with a very strong Caribbean flavor and population.

If you are moving to Miami unprepared for the distinctive Hispanic flavor, you could be in for culture shock. It depends on your tolerance for different cultures, languages, personalities, and communications.

Miami is definitely not for everybody----for those not prepared for the lifestyle it can an enormously frustrating city to deal with. For those of you who are perhaps a little younger, more flexible, and can adjust a little easier Miami may well be a great place for you.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder----I am not a big fan of Miamis, but being from a different mindset and circumstances you may disagree and love the city.

I think Miami is a place you'll either love or hate, or as in my case, both LOL. Although I'm not really the type of person to fit in and enjoy life here, I am not going to deny the fact that Miami does appeal to a lot of people from all races. I can't honestly say that I think that Miami is an awful place to live, but it's really not my cup of tea. I will say that the Spanish thing really doesn't bother me; in fact, I have kind of grown to like that aspect of living here.

And Miami is more like mid-to-high 70's in January (daytime high).

Best winter weather in the continental USA....in my opinion.

Ooohh, I would NOT say that. That is taking it tooooo far!

Even just within the USA, I'll take HONOLULU's climate over Miami (much less rain and trade winds keep summer humidity FAR MORE tolerable).

Again, I do give Miami the nod for best WINTER weather in the continential USA. But coastal So.Calif. in the summer beats Miami's summers by a long shot. Yeah, I know I am biased...but any scientific poll of U.S. adults would agree with that last sentence.

70's are nice, but doesnt make up for the terrible heat and humidity the other months. You like the weather but many people dont find S FL weather enjoyable.

We are talking climate....not ocean conditions.

Fatal shark attacks in So.Calif. are EXTREMELY rare. There are sharks in all oceans you know. More Jelly Fish in Miami.

If you want to talk ocean conditions....Miami is a lake. Very boring.

Have you ever seen the swells on Miami beaches when there is a major hurricane nearby?
