I seriously had no idea Haitians had such a bad reputation. I worked in North Miami Beach for a while and most of my co workers were from other parts of South Florida and we all had a good impression of our Haitian neighbors in the neighborhood. Is it because of how bad Little Haiti was for a while?

Haitians have always had a bad reputation as long as I have know. IOkemechi, everyone doesn't think the way you do. People will assume you are Haitian until you tell them otherwise. Haitians are know for income tax fraud and other types of identity fraud. Stay away from North Miami Beach.

Um...no, that is just the screen name? Did you just step off of the boat? I thought you went to Penn

I think Loops just answered your question. I think the real Ray Nagin has more serious things to think about like facing prison time.

Agreed. As much as I dislike about Miami, I can say that, I've had very few instances of racism. Women generally aren't to worried about your race vs your personality, looks or status (depending on said female's priorities).

Dating isn't too hard here, honestly. I've had little issue meeting women. Admittedly, some were more intellectual than others, but there are a lot of girls to date and decide whether you click or not.

And there's always the escort market, if you just want to pay up front for a "date" and avoid the BS. Overall, the number of partners between a working girl and a civilian probably won't be that different.

Being black in Miami, I also have experienced less racism here than any other place. I guess since it's so many White Cubans here that have increased over the last several years, you might see more bit of racism. Personally, I have not had a huge problem with that. I will say it's probably better to live some where else if you are black to date. It's changed here, so if you are not playing for the Heat or in some kind of entertainment industry they act kind of weird now with black men. I'm talking about even professional black men, not the gold teeth and dreads type.

It's just everybody is so pretentious now since the media has a strong hold on Miami. Big change in this city over the last several years.

Atlanta is the gay capital of the South. I got tricked into the whole "Hotlanta" BS back in 2004. Moved up there it was too gay, segregated, and ignorant to sum it up. It's so backwards there. Couldn't wait to be back in Miami. PA seems like they have some level headed women there, they are more educated than the ones down here for sure. PA is just too cold for me though.

BS. Haitians in my experience are one of the most hard working people I have known in Miami. Now, Americans from Haitians parents, oh well, the "usually" the go the MTV & Hip Hop way and get all messed up in gangs and other conspicuous way of living.

Debon, Ok, Did some Cuban take your wifey or make you pay alimony? I will understand if that's the case

You contradict yourself in every other sentence. White cubans you say. Is that what liberals are going to call Rubio when he runs for Prez. Liberals = FAIL
