please tell em why taxes would triple? yes i know miami springs is super expensive, but they are annexing mostly industrial area, which would bring more revenue to the city, so i dont see why they would higher taxes.

I have an aprtment in Virginia Gardens. According to my recent tax proposal, it seems like my taxes will decrease whether a budget change takes place or not. I don't have homestead on this property since it's not my first home. How will this affect me? Also, Hialeah is on this map, but is only Miami Springs affected?

Add me to the confused list.

How would Miami Springs taking land from unincorporated Dade County bring more taxes to anyone but the residents of Miami Springs?

This proposed annexation (which has been recommended to be denied by the commission) would triple the taxes for area to be annexed.
In this particular economy this would help no one , since many business would go out and jobs will be lost.
It will help the Miami Springs government with more revenue, until all the property owners start losing thier properties for innability to pay the higher taxes.
As an affected property owner myself, this would place me out of business. My property taxes would go from 12000 i currently pay (and can hardly afford) to 36000 dollars. Something impossible for me to pay
