do yourself a favor, when you have a decision to make about moving or a turning point in your life of some sort, just go with your instinct or gut feeling, don't ask anyone. I find that most people are not resilient to change and can provide a very pessimistic outlook on life. Go to Florida, Have faith and trust. Open up your world to the experience you desire. You will find the right apartment, the right job and all else. Sounds like you have a very positive attitude and you are not afraid to take risks like "most people". You have one life, live it to the fullest, just don't be a fool, and exercise the right judgement in every decision you make and when in doubt don't. I am perhaps in the very same situation and this is so funny I stumbled on this and thought, there is someone looking for exactly the same thing. I have been on craigslist and going through various sites and found quite a few decent looking, clean studio and one bed apts within the $650 range in Boca Raton, which sounds like a choice location for you. You can always choose to buy a new mattress to sleep on should you find something furnished. I never recommend sleeping on used mattresses. I have made a few calls, hooked up with a few realtors etc. Point is, where there is a will there is a way. You will find what you are looking for with perseverance and determination. Just stay away from negative thinkers when you have a goal. Good Luck.
