if there's any way you can use the metrorail, i would suggest that. if not, US1 at 7-7:15am isn't too awful....can't tell you about timing since i don't know how far west you are in kendall or what are of downtown job is located.

East Kendall 6:45 am
West Kendall, try leaving the night before, I recommend relocation.

metro rail is $4 for parking plus $4 fare, and the time you save in that filthy train, you waste it paying for parking and finding your car miles away in the Marriot Hotel.

Thanks for your help, my drive is west kendall (hammocks area) to exit 2b (the arenas) I will definitely look into relocating further north in the future, but now I have to bear this drive.

They have the option of paying $110/month for the monthly pass (including a parking pass)...

I would also consider taking Metrorail from the Dadeland North station. Leave your home earlier than 7 AM & park at the garage at the station as it quickly fills up by 8 AM. The train ride to downtown takes about less than half a hour & you can then catch the Metromover which is free.

If you would rather drive you would have to leave home earlier then take the Turnpike north to 836 East until you get downtown then head south on I-95. Are you sure exit 2B is the Arenas?

If you leave at 6:30 or so...you miss all the traffic. But when you are driving there after 7, you hit tons of traffic, and the drive is traffic the whole way. Try to get an earlier schedule.

Yiyi? I have ridden Metrorail when I lost my car in a accident and spent almost 2 months riding the whole line during early morning & afternoon commutes. I never had any problems and most of the people you see on the train are people just like you & I are who are simply trying to get to work!
