This drunk homeless guy stepped out in front of my car last night when I was driving in SoBe. I have HID fogs and HID low beams so I can pretty much light up both FTL and MIA going down the road. I don't know who's eye's were wider his or mine.

Earlier in the day we took a wrong turn and ended up on a street lined with homeless. Two people were fighting in the middle of the street and all we could do was wait.

Pedestrians are driving hazards here, like Moose in Alaska.

Well that has never happened to me in Miami or Broward but then again I don't spent to much time in south beach. I know that place can be very shady at certain times of the day.

however yesterday I was in fort myers and I almost hit some kind of addict when I was in a parking lot. She threw herself in front of my car asking for change. I don't know where these people come from, they are usually Caucasian(sometimes black) and look like meth or heroine addicts. You can find them in Miami usually at some road intersection but they are never as aggressive. I guess they know Miami drivers and don't take any chances.

In Miami is usually the pedestrians texting/talking on their cell phones that cause most problems

There was a known scam many years back in NY - I'm sure the trick is known in MIA too. Street people will slap the side of your car and pratfall pretending you hit them. You get out, they demand money, hospitalization whatever. It's a known scam. Be aware.

Are there still squeegie men and faux gas station attendants in MIA?

Yep, they are still here and I've met them too. I'm almost a Miamian now.

Maybe my ft myers junkie wanted me to hit her. I have excellent reflexes after driving these roads for so long. I can usually see when a car or person is coming from a side, since most people here have never heard of a blind spot and just change lanes without turning their heads. I just drove off as fast as I could LOL. That city sucks like no other city in Florida.

I was driving with a friend and a squeegie man literally jumped on the hood and started washing the window while the car was still moving. My buddy turned on the window spray wash and the wipers to get him off. I was most amused that it actually worked!
