Lived in LA and Miami, and unlike most, I actually liked living in Miami better. Yes, weather in Miami is very humid but traffic in LA is MUCH worse, better nightlife in the M.I.A., LA has more stuck up and superficial people than in Miami (which also has a lot, don't get me wrong), and Miami has a better skyline if you care at all about that. Also, only 10-15 years ago, there was no "big city" feel in Miami, now when you go to downtown and brickell you get amazed because you just can't believe how much the city grew. I think a safe place that's next to the ocean that could be good for you is Sunny Isles Beach, that's a pretty good neighborhood in my opinion and the number of condos aligned next to the beach make you forget that it's a suburb. Good luck!

Hey All,
Thanks so much!!! We are going to start more north of Miami for a home rental as it is cheaper (deerfield beach).

We have a one year rental but we will be in touch for more information.

Cheers.
J

the most important indicator about how you will like miami is where you were born/grew up. i would be surprised if you were born/grew up in LA.
