It's *really cold* where I am right now, and every time I see CSI Miami, I think about retiring there. I've been to Florida several times and it's always so beautiful, it's unreal. I'm a semi-retired studio musician, private music teacher and own a small online business. Can anyone tell me what neighborhoods would be nice to look at for relocation in that area? I.e., relatively safe, safer during a hurricane (my biggest worry) and nice buildings?

TIA

I didn't at first, then someone told me it was cheaper to film there than here.

In the Atlas I see a Brickell Ave., Brickell Key and Brickell Park. Where is the section you're referring to, in relation to downtown Miami?

He's right. they show quite a bit of california. any scene with elevation is definitely not south florida. alot of their stock footage also has buildings that are no longer there or are changed.
i usually can tell the california scenes by the vegetation.
i can only imagine the difficulties they must go through with local labor and unnecessary permits to film burn notice.

that happens a lot in this forum... before you know it, the discussion moves towards "miami is horrible, don't come here".

Brickell is a neighborhood that represents the financial district of downtown Miami. Brickell - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Brickell Ave extending from SE 5th St. to SE 15th Road is the general area that defines "Brickell". Others might use different boundaries, but the ones I provided will get you started.

Aside from Brickell, South Beach (Miami Beach) is a good location to check out as well as Sunny Isles. Good luck!
