I found a very beautiful Single Family on Palm Island a few month ago. It was 4700$ per month. Unbelivable. I googled the owner and found out that it this is a very big FAKE. I found it on vacationhomerentals.com and some other vacation home websites....

To all others:

A friend in Miami found a nice place to stay at the Akoya building and i will get the lease contract soon. I did not know that it is such a problem to get a nice rental in March. I got so many offers from April 1st on. But we dont want to move during our vacations.

Finally my husband and i decided to buy our own apartment in Miami and go for some showing during our vacation. That makes everything more easy.

Melanie
Won't you still need a place to stay though?

Crazy Crazy Crazy...

we were offered a Condo at the Akoya for 4K per month. Thats 8K for 2. But we need to pay 5K for security. ( 1K and 4K / assosication and owner ). We need to fill out a pile of papers, just for a fu... vacation rental??? What`s this ???

It`s clear that we have to pay a security deposit, that`s no problem, but 5K? It`s 5K what we can not spend for restaurants, entertainment and others.

Is this proceeding regular when renting a Condo or is this just in the newer one`s? I saw so many rentals in Condos without that high security deposits...

Melanie - a little confused...

Check some of the condo-tels. Fortune House, Opera Tower, Viceroy/Icon, Conrad, Four Seasons and a few others might be able to do something better for you.
