Help with question about my child is 18 and graduates in June how do I stop court ordered child support payments. The order says until 18 and graduated.

you just stop it i would assume.. if the court does it automatically from your paycheck it stops on their birth day i believe.

Well I hope your kid graduates as it sounds like one of the conditions. I would keep in contact with the courts as the clerks would have this information on file.

If it only all went to the child...........

Most of the time child support ends up as subsidies for the other parent.

I guess you can stop paying at age 18, if that is the way you want it. My ex and I still pay for our last child in college, we split the expenses. He pays dorm fees this year, and everything and takes the deduction, I pay next year and get the tax deduction.

our child support stopped when all the money was paid. didn't matter if she was 80 years old. doesn't stop when she's 18 when you pay ever damn cent. we owed 24000 back support only she was adopted in 01 my husband forgot to put in back support when he signed papers for her to be adopted by stepfather. I only hope she needs a bone marrow tranplant and my husband is her only hope. haha...only hope my dream maryanne
