Anyone know how Miami Shores comare with Coral Gables, with respect to strict city codes? You still have to wonder why the Gables gets recommended despite their strict codes, but not Biscayne Park. I think it may be because Coral Gables is a real city with a real downtown, while Biscayne Park is purely residential (neighboring Miami Shores has a small, revived downtown) and close to the more shady parts of North Miami.

I agree that it's because it's near less desirable areas (so is CG, but not as bad of neighborhoods compared to BP) and also doesn't have as easy access to the CBD, Metrorail, shopping, dining, etc.

Besides that, the name Coral Gables itself holds more affluence and appeal.
