That's very typical arrogant Miami behavior of you to try to size me up to judge me. Oh yeah, and very typical to be racist against African Americans.

The tone of your posts alone make me cringe, as I recall the arrogance in all the worst of the worst that Latin America and the Caribbean has to offer that land their wet foot in Miami.

Your rants are repetitive with all the history and geography lessons. This post is about lack of professionalism and corporate culture in Miami. Please start a history and geography thread so you can unload there.

I didn't know this either. Must be hot off the press historical news that hasn't made it into textbooks or wikipedia yet!

Venezuelan seems to be quite a fact whiz, so I won't try to dispute this info.

have you even travelled to Europe? Canada?

Dont you know the concept of Universal Healthcare+ High Salaries+ Walkable cities+ stable politics (not Dems vs Reps fighting every year)= a 1st world safety net which equals a decent distribution of wealth in the country, which equals a 1st world GINI coefficient.

THE USA ranks extremely high in income inequality, car dependance (costly transportation), and Social SECURITY doesnt include HEALTH security.

open your eyes, pal, The US may be 1st world to the 1% of the US population that are super rich (bill gates, oprah, the facebook and google guys etc), and also 1st world to the other 9% of the US population that are doctors, and highly paid professionals and small business owners.

The rest of the mortals, that 90% of the US population, have a quality of life and SAFETY NET lower than the first world.

I am not saying the US is a bad country, I am saying that USA doesnt equal life in UK, Europe, Canada, Australia aka First world.

THE USA ranks on par with mexico in income inequality far far away from first worlders. Even behind Cameroon. You should take a look at the list that the CIA made. INCOME INEQUALITY WORLDWIDE country comparison.

Here is a graph

File:Gini Coefficient World CIA Report 2009.png - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

thats income inquality...I dont even want to talk about healthcare..

I would say people from California have higher standards than people in So. Fla. But to most, that 'higher' is just normal, basic standards. It seems like they are asking for SO much from someone in So. Fla who is not even expected to greet customers. In California the attitude is 'act right or we will find someone to replace you who will'. In So. Fla nobody cares, including the management, so 'clerks' get away with anything. So, these whiners from NY and CA are actually normal, expecting decent service.

It might just be lack of good middle-management then, it's them who are responsible for their employees behavior.

We get complaints from our other offices about lack of good phone manners from Miami employees, and that's because our "American" manager is lazy about enforcing it.

you did NOT understand the list.

That is indeed a laugh.

The lower the gini coefficient, the better, which means that the wealth of the country is distributed fairly on its citizens (gap between rich and poor).

Canada is ranked 101, close to Norway, Germany, Sweden, France, Spain, Britain, etc.

The USA is ranked far away from first wolders. The countries listed on the top of the Gini index have the worst income distribution.

That´s a CIA list, a more reliable source would be hard to find.

You were bashing Miamians for being bilinguals and "Hispanics". You were the original racist (well, I cant really say racist because "hispanic" isnt a race), and your bashing led to the rest--> The Florida geography/history lessons, etc.

You are too ignorant to realize that the lack of corporate dress code has nothing to do with the ethnicity of miamians. It has to do with the weather, which is extremely hot, and only a wacko would wear corporate clothes everyday. And the behavior of workers in "corporate Miami" is equal or better than in the rest of the US. Miami holds the highest number of banks per capita (more than NYC).

.

I beg to differ... some of you guys misinterpreted what Jm and Lala were saying. You took their words as insults and were too blind to understand that what they really wanted to say. That got many of you into think they were being anti" hispanics", such move led to the geopgraphy/ history lessons.

so extremely wrong. i am a corporate worker and i can tell you its like a high school anywhere you work here. the only reason for the quantity of banks is people depositing their money here from latin america who are too scared to store the money in their own country's banks.
