NO.
if my girlfriend ever left me it would be because of this.
music has always been her life and she hates that nothing comes down here.
that is one thing she will never be happy with here and clearly belongs on the west coast of the country.
i just had to deal with the aftermath/fall out of being reminded of that when we went to a concert up in orlando last weekend of her favorite band that never comes anywhere near this part of the country.

sounds about right, why is this by the way? why does miami get none, is that because of the culture barrier?

Yes, not many bands go to the Caribbean for that same reason.

The good news is that Orlando's only 3 hours away in the event that Ft. L doesn't have what you're looking for.

I think it has more to do with the local rock scene getting killed by the radio tycoons, namely with the loss of 94.9 Zeta. That station used to bring a lot of bands down for concerts and did regular segments on the local rock scene. 93 Rock just wasn't the same, which is why it just died off. When you don't have that outlet to foster the continual of the music scene then it's hard to bring down big name bands for concerts. I don't think the crowd that kept that station going all those years just up and left in the early 2000s.

I remember when Z died. There was regetton being aired instead... like we didn't have enough tropical music stations already UGHH!

As a result, it's culture the roots of all this Miami curse.
