Hello everyone!

Firstly I want to say that I'm from Europe and I'm planning next year to start studies in UK, and after studies I want to move to Miami. I want to become a doctor so I have few questions for you...

1) What is the average salary for doctors in Miami? Is it enough for Miami lifestyle (including parties etc)?

2) Is it possible to work as doctor in Florida with UK medicine degree (bachelor degree)?

So my plan is to study bachelor in UK, and later have a master degree in USA.

"UK medicine degree" is not a bachelor's degree. Becoming a Doctor takes 7 years in the UK if I recall correctly.

If you do become a Doctor in the UK, I think you can take some training, some exams, and then practice as a US Doctor - but don't take my word for it, you should ask a Board of Physicians/whoever to confirm it.

This is my understanding as well.

Otherwise, doctors get paid a lot here post-residency.

Yes if you go to medical school in the UK so I would imagine that would have to be at least an extra 4-7 years after your bachelor degree you can work as a doctor in the US. Just have to take some exams etc..

As for average salary I have no idea but I can say this much I have never met a poor doctor. Medicine in the US is mostly a private buisness so Doctors make money depending how good they are. Some make millions some make $100,000 just depends how much your working, have a lot of buisness etc.. But doctors in the US make a lot of money. Even government paid doctors working in public hospitals make over $200,000 a year which is plenty to live anywhere in the US. But it is a little soon to be thinking of this. How about you get into Medical school first.

I assume your talking about a MD and not a PhD

Also, you'll have to fund the training and exams yourself. And then there's immigration to deal with, I don't know if you'll qualify for a visa as a Doctor.
