What area is this considered? Is it a nice area? I think it's close to the mall.

What mall? that address sounds wrong. If it's NW It would be around liberty City/Little Haiti and I highly doubt there is a mall around there when you can not even find a McDonalds or Winn Dixie around there. And I don't think there is such address in SW Miami

You might be referring to the Northside strip mall. Not really a mall, per se, but it does have some stores. Nothing that I would venture over there for, though.

Overall, not a good area... at all.

Actually if it's northwest, it's close to that indoor flea market. And yes there is a McDonalds and a Wendy's in that area, maybe even a Payless. And a Royal Burger or something retro like that. Back in the day there used to be a drive-in theatre in that area.
It's not a place that I would want to live but you are close to the Metro rail which is very good transportation. You also have easy access to the upper east side by going east on 79 street.
If it's southwest I don't think that adress exists unless you meant 87 avenue and 27 street. If that's the case, I think it's International Mall territory.

No, not considered nice. It's Gladeview and West Little River. Essentially, extensions of Liberty City for all practical purposes. It is the mini commercial hub for this African American section of the county though. There is even a Pollo Tropical in front of the mall. There used to be a JC Penny store at the mall way back when.

The single family homes look decent enough, but there are numerous housing projects and run down apartment rentals which help ruin the area. But overall, the single family homes help stabilize the area to an extent IMO.

Would you say this area is better than Opa Locka?

Used to be the Northside Mall, which, back in the day, was a thriving area. Not any more. So, no, it is not a nice area.

I don't know crime stats, but Northside has more commerce...is closer to the train and downtown...so based on those reasons once miight say it is better.

I think they are similar communities, socio economic and deomographic wise. My perception is crime is high in both areas with neither being better or worse than the other overall.
