My mom has come to visit me from Europe here in Miami and her birthday is in wednesday, and I really want to make her day special, so what's the best place to have breakfast and dinner here in South Beach? During the day I'm gonna take her shopping and let her buy for herself whatever she wants to, but as for breakfast I wanna make a beautiful morning, so a fancy place with nice waiters would really be good and same goes for dinner...

thank you guys for help in advance.

The roof top at Area 31 in downtown Miami has some amazing views of the skyline of Miami. Breathtaking. I would see if they serve breakfast. Downtown Miami Seafood Restaurant with Outdoor Dining | Area 31

Prime 112 has great food, but I found it a little stuffy when I ate there recently (just a few weeks ago).

There is a restaurant in the Epic Hotel called Zuma. I had an excellent dinner there. See if you can reservations and ask for a table by the window. The city views are amazing. Zuma

Prime 112 is expensive but it is pretty damn good. Honestly after a certain point, food is just food; there is only so good you can make the same dish from competing restaurants...

Aren't we a few weeks shy of the season yet? I think its mid October.

Also, I am surprised no one has mentioned News Cafe for breakfast. I know its touristy but I think thats what he is looking for.
