Hello Everybody,

I am a student of FIU who enrolled for this Fall. I am looking for accomodation near to FIU (preferably walking distance) as I dont have a car. Can you guys please suggest me or post me here any vacancies you guys are aware of.... I am open to sharing an apartment too.

Please let me know. Very desperate for a place to live here as I am on a temporary basis of accommodation.

Hope you guys understand the students grievousness.

Thank you,

Try craigslist and type in FIU to narrow down the results. You will find places nearby...maybe not walking distance...but there is also a section on roomshares, so maybe. There isn't too much housing within walking distance of FIU targeted for students but there is are a handful of options behind the Publix and within a 10 minute drive.

If it helps expand your options, try looking along the bus routes that feed the college. It is served by the #8, #11, #24, and #71 routes, of which the #8 and #11 run the most frequently. The buses would help if you didn't have a car.
