So I have bad credit my boyfriend has little to no credit. How hard will it be to find a NICE place? We’re looking for a one to two bedroom in a nice neighborhood in Dade County. I'm not excepting it to be perfect but some were clean & on the safer side. I've herd of Miami garden & Miami Lakes those nice pleases to live? The max we can afford at this point would be around $1100.00. My must haves are a washer & dryer in the unit or at least on site & assigned parking.

I've lived in Los Angeles all my life & out here I've always just had to pay a higher security deposit. Would that be the case in Miami? I don't want to do the whole co-singer thing, I'ed like to avoid going that rout. Any advice?

Forget apartments and try renting a townhouse or home from a private owner instead. They usually won't check your credit and don't bring up the issue. Usually references are required so if you can get one from your current landlord in writing that would be a plus. Also expect to have to put up first & last month's rent plus a security deposit. Miami Lakes is nice but forget Miami Gardens!
