When is it going to improve for North, East, and West Miami Dade County (buses and rails system) and is it going to be 24 hrs instead of the 7 routes now?

coconut 1, where are you? Is the north, east and west corridor rail or bus transit going to be added in 2012 or not?

All Metrorail projects are dead besides the Airport Link.

The only things in terms of rail that are still being looked at is the FEC corridor. I was reading not too long ago that there is actually a shorter goal to have trains up and running on the line.

As for 2012, I don't know of anything major that's happening besides the Airport Link opening. (City of Miami trolleys are also doing something)

I don't believe there is anything scheduled to become 24 hours that isn't already.

You need to be more specific.

All transit agencies make expansions of their systems very slowly. You may see a new bus route added here and there, or an existing route could receive slightly better service (they periodically make adjustments to their service), but you're really not going to see anything major.

They are working on turning the airport into an intermodal center. They'll send the MetroRail there and reroute some bus routes within the airport. Aside from that, there is another thread talking about commuter rail service paralleling the Tri-Rail except it would go right to Downtown Miami, but they haven't started constructing that.
