I hope you're kidding.

The Roads and Shenandoah is the area south of Little Havana (as I said, about south of SW 16th) as well as east of Coral Gables and west of Brickell. Just stay below SW 16th and for the most part you'll be fine.

That area is right in your price range as well. You'll be able to find something good without much trouble.

Here Bill O'Reilley says he taught in Opa Locka, Florida and called it the "crack capital of the world."

The Roads is the best location for your commute if you can afford it. I would also check out Coral Gables which is a much larger area with plenty of options.

I am moving to Miami in the next month with my wife. I need some help trying to figure the best place to live. My wife is working downtown in Brickell and I will be working in Opa-locka. We would like to try to keep the commute to about 45mins or less.

We are looking in the Miami Shores area, and between Coral Gables and the turnpike. Not looking further south then 72nd st. It looks like if we live farther then that the commute would be pretty long.

How are these areas and what would the commute be like?

Any help would be great.

Thanks
1. Do you have kids
2. What are you looking for in a Neighborhood?

Answer those two questions and I think we can help a little better.

I think the Roads is overrated. Try any neighborhood with a NE address. And by all means consider Miami Springs.
