Hi all,
I will be moving from Orlando to Miami in a week. I am still looking for a place but I have fallen in love with Brickell and will like to live there. Problem is my first assignment is in Deerfield and I am not sure I want to drive down there especially since I have a leased vehicle. I am thinking about renting one of the condos in the Brickell and my question is do the trains go all the way to Deerfield? If not, where is the closest place I could drive to get to a train station? I am willing to drive 15 miles one way to a train station.

If this is not possible then I will just live in FT lauderdale, Aventura or Hollywood.

Just put the from and to directions on google maps, then click the bus icon.

Or

Miami-Dade County - Transit - Metrorail Map (http://www.miamidade.gov/transit/rail_stations.asp - broken link)

South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA)

Just take the metrorail from brickell station to the tri rail station, then get on the tri rail and get to deerfield beach.

You could catch tri-rail in Miami (near NW 37 avenue & 112 Expressway) or at the Cloverleaf (where 1-95 meets the Palmetto Expressway). Tri-rail goes north to Deerfield Beach. South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA)

Does Tri-rail stop anywhere near where you actually work in Deerfield???

Personally, I'd choose to live in downtown West Palm near City Place and walk to the Tri-rail. Either that or Las Olas and take the shuttle busses to Tri-rail. Brickell to Deerfield is a very long commute, even by South Florida standards.
